The "St Thomas Strikers" which is a the only female football team to emerge from the parish will be participating in its first encounter on Saturday 28,May 2011.  KCDI via the Community Development Unit has extended full support to the team and the St.Thomas Football Association.

KCDI's Programme Director Mrs. Ruth Wilson reiterated the importance of collaborations among stakeholders  namely the Social Development Commission (SDC) and St.Thomas Football Association in utilizing sports as a catalyst for development.  She contends that Sport can play a significant role in helping the unite the parish around a common goal which is the development of parish.

The St.Thomas Strikers can be a medium in this endeavor.These ladies are the daughters nieces, cousins of the parish. They (the team) represent all that is good and beautiful.
